GALEART: ACCESSIBLE POTTERY FOR EVERYONE

GALEART, A FAMILY-RUN CERAMICS AND POTTERY BUSINESS

Welcome to Galeart, a family business born from a shared passion: pottery and ceramics, ceramic craft trades, working the clay, and the fire arts.

Meet Patrick, the potter and ceramicist, the pioneer, the inventor who started by designing the slab roller and who gives our venture its true purpose.

Meet Gaëlle, the businesswoman and multi-talented artist. Gaëlle took up throwing in March; GALEART has grown through her work in communications and marketing.

Meet Renée, the organizer, the rock, and the potter's muse… Without her, everything would fall apart.

Meet Thibaut, cool-headed and patient, the engineer who drafts all the tool designs, develops, and repairs kiln electronics, controllers, and heating elements.

Meet Guillaume, the resourcefulness and muscle behind making Galeart more eco-responsible. And then the children—Tilio, Kheyra, and Lucie—our daily drive, energy, and joy.

Pottery and Ceramics by Galeart: What We Offer

Our Galeart store supplies high-quality products to support every phase of your pottery and ceramic work. From handbuilding to trimming and glazing, our product lines are designed for hobbyists and professionals alike. Our pottery supplies and tools allow you to learn the craft at art schools or workshops, as well as pursue your passion at home.

Whether your focus is contemporary ceramics or traditional studio pottery, whether you craft functional ware or sculpt forms, we are here to provide expert advice for your projects.

We offer a broad selection of pastel and metallic colors.

Whether you prefer press molding or slip casting, make tiles or glazed earthenware, favor terra sigillata over underglaze, or choose slip over paperclay binders, you will find everything you need in our shop.

You will find what you need for your banding wheels, coils or mosaics, vases, glazes, or grogged silica clay…

Galeart helps you find all the materials needed to craft your earthenware pieces or plaster molds, as well as your stoneware, porcelain, or faïence ceramics.

Galeart also guides you in choosing decorative materials to ensure each creation is unique.

Our goal is to provide pottery tools offering the best value to support your sourcing needs. Our pottery tool ranges are made in France to minimize middlemen and ensure dependable quality.

Our Galeart pottery tool line includes:

  • The slab roller: Galeart's flagship product, built and assembled in Occitanie.
  • Wooden bat systems with or without tiles: designed to streamline work on the potter's wheel.
  • Pottery ribs: crafted in wood by Galeart, essential for shaping and refining forms.
  • Mushroom anvils: used to shape series of plates and shallow forms directly from slabs.
  • Polishing discs: mounted on a water-resistant bat and supplied with a chamois leather.
  • Raku kilns: built using bio-soluble ceramic fiber blanket.
  • Chattering tools: used for decorative surface texturing on the wheel.

Raw materials are carefully selected and tested by our team or produced directly by Galeart. From there, they are shaped and transformed by you, the ceramicists. We provide a comprehensive range of glazes and underglazes. You will also find everything needed to add color to your work (stains and raw oxides). And most importantly, we supply an array of clay bodies (stoneware, earthenware, porcelain).
