Description
The plate trimming chuck is a tool designed by GALEART to assist in trimming your pieces. This tool allows you to hold your pots from the inside, preventing you from resting them on their rims and thus avoiding any damage to the lip of your piece.
This tool also allows you to trim or smooth across the full height of your piece.
Finally, using this plate trimming chuck prevents the center of the base from sagging, which is especially useful when trimming plates.
Using a piece of chamois leather (or synthetic chamois) can be helpful to secure the piece in place, though it is not strictly required.
The Plate chuck measures 240mm in top diameter, 260mm in base diameter, and 30mm in height, designed for flat or deep plates and platters. It is mounted on a 30cm-diameter PVC Auflageplatte that is used in the same way as our PVC Auflageplatten range (with a chamois leather or synthetic chamois).
The Wechselplatte mit Einlegeplatten is not included with this item.
